When choosing artwork or other decorative effects for your room, you need to decide if you want something that blends well with your color scheme or if you want a piece which will make a bold statement of it’s own and will be a significant feature in the room. I have gone for the first option in this case.

Contemporary metal wall art is a great way to give a room that WOW factor without breaking the bank. While with everything in design the sky is the limit when you look at pricing you can get really stunning pieces for a couple of hundred dollars.  You can be sure that they will draw the eye and be a talking point for guests to your home. Another alternative would be to split the panels to create two or more smaller pieces. When picking the pieces for this post it seems I have inadvertantly become a fan of the work of Jon Allen!

When creating a princess room it can be tempting to go the whole hog and start painting murals or to hire an artist to paint the perfect princess palace scene for you. This is great if you have the budget and you don’t mind redecorating in a couple of years but a more practical option and budget friendly option is to paint the room in white or pink and use some children’s wall art stickers to add the decorative effect you are looking for.
